Annual event doesn't disappoint
Loaves and Fishes is celebrating another successful Empty Bowls event this past Saturday.
It took place at the Memorial Centre where hundreds lined up for an impeccably crafted bowl by a local artisan.
Their Mary Mansworth told our Bruce Wylie, is a date many mark on their calendars year-after-year.
And Mansworth praised the work by the artists who created the bowls.
She also expressed gratitude to the restaurants and chefs who stepped up and made some delectable soups.
Live music also kept the crowd entertained throughout the event.
They're still counting up the proceeds but it is safe to say that the financial boost Empty Bowls brings will be felt by the people served by Loaves and Fishes for some time to come.
