Have a meal in Brockville or South Grenville
People who may be spending Christmas alone will have a place to go for a warm meal and friendly company in Brockville and South Grenville.
The Brockville and Area Ministerial Association is hosting a free Community Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day at First Presbyterian Church in Brockville. The dinner runs from noon to 2 p.m. and is open to everyone.
The meal is fully funded by local churches, with all food donated or purchased through church support. Volunteers will prepare and serve a full traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. Live music will also be part of the afternoon, with a focus on conversation and connection.
The Community Christmas Dinner was hosted for nearly 50 years by St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and is now being led by BAMA for the first time. Organizers expect to serve about 180 people, with extra food donated to local organizations if needed.
In South Grenville, King’s Kitchen is also hosting a free Christmas Day dinner at the South Grenville District High School cafeteria. Doors open at 11 a.m., with dinner served at 1 p.m.
