The latest from Environment Canada, and a closure reported
A snowfall warning remains in effect for Brockville and Prescott as the region sees the last of a major winter storm.
Environment Canada reports total snowfall of 10 to 20 cm, with heavy snow tapering off early this morning. Light snow may continue until noon, adding another 2 cm. Roads remain slippery, and visibility may be reduced.
Tonight, freezing rain is expected to begin near midnight as temperatures drop to -3 C, with wind chills near -9. Freezing rain will change to rain Sunday afternoon as temperatures rise above zero.
Drivers are urged to use caution and prepare for icy conditions.
How bad is it? One of the city's biggest draws, the Aquatarium, has closed its doors for the day.
