Snowfall warnings may be issued if conditions intensify
A Special Weather Statement is in effect for Brockville and Prescott, with Environment Canada warning that 5 to 15 centimetres of snow could fall on Sunday.
The snowfall is expected to begin Sunday morning and continue into Sunday night as a low-pressure system moves across southern Ontario. While forecasters say there is still uncertainty about the system’s exact strength and track, significant accumulation is possible in some areas.
Snowfall warnings may be issued if conditions intensify. Drivers are advised to expect slippery roads, poor visibility and possible travel delays throughout the day. Environment Canada recommends adjusting travel plans and considering the installation of winter tires before the storm hits.
Residents are encouraged to monitor updated forecasts and alerts through Environment Canada and to report severe weather using the hashtag #ONStorm on X or by emailing ONstorm@ec.gc.ca.
