Free shuttles available all weekend long
The Brockville Tall Ships Festival starts today and runs all weekend, from June 20 to 22. Locals should prepare for busy streets, road closures, and limited parking downtown.
Water Street is closed from Bethune to Broad Street and one-way from Broad to Kincaid. Bethune Street, Blockhouse Island Parkway, and the Home Street boat launch are also closed.
Hardy Park is free to enjoy, but Centeen Park and Blockhouse Island require a festival pass. Visitors can save time by buying tickets online.
Free shuttle buses will run from several parking lots, including the Brockville Memorial Centre, St. Lawrence College, and others. Shuttle times run from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Brockville Transit’s Red Route will detour and skip stops near the waterfront.
Drivers are asked to be patient and plan ahead. Full details at tallshipsbrockville.com/planning.
