Many local services and businesses in Brockville will close for the Easter long weekend, starting Good Friday, April 18.
City Hall, the Gord Watts Municipal Centre, the Wastewater Treatment Centre, and the Water Filtration Plant will all be closed on Friday and reopen Monday, April 21.
Brockville Transit will not run on Good Friday but will resume regular service Monday.
Brockville Tourism’s Visitor Centre at 16 Market Street East will be closed both Friday and Monday for staff training.
There are no changes to waste and recycling collection during the long weekend. Regular pick-up days remain the same.
The Brockville Museum will be closed Friday but open Easter Monday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The Brockville Arts Centre and Brockville Public Library will also have limited hours—check their websites for details.
What’s closed: government offices, banks, LCBO, Beer Store, post offices, and most grocery stores on Friday and Sunday.
What’s open: hospitals, restaurants, some convenience stores (many selling alcohol), and a few pharmacies and grocery stores—but mostly on Saturday only.
Some Walmart locations may open on Easter Sunday with reduced hours.
