City officials wish residents a safe and happy Thanksgiving weekend
The City of Brockville is reminding residents of municipal closures and schedule changes for Thanksgiving Monday, October 13. City Hall, the Gord Watts Municipal Centre, and other administrative offices will be closed for the holiday, reopening on Tuesday.
Waste and recycling collection will not take place Monday. Pickup will move ahead by one day for the week of October 14 to 17. City transit will also pause for the day, with regular service resuming Tuesday morning.
The Brockville Compost Site at 251 North Augusta Road will be closed Monday, but fall curbside leaf collection is scheduled for October 27–30 and November 17–20.
Public facilities, including the Brockville Arts Centre, Museum, and Library, will be closed Monday, while the Railway Tunnel remains open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., weather permitting.
