The dry spell is expected to last into next week
Brockville is heading into a hot, dry, and humid stretch that could impact everything from lawns to moods, says Environment Canada’s Senior Climatologist David Phillips.
Phillips has been monitoring Brockville’s weather and says the lack of rain is more than just uncomfortable — it’s concerning.
He explains that the extreme heat paired with a lack of rainfall is the concern.
He adds that a healthy balance of sun and rain typically brings positive effects to communities.
Environment Canada encourages residents to stay alert and prepared for continued abnormal weather.
With no major rainfall expected soon, experts say this dry pattern could linger well into August, increasing risks for both people and the environment.
