5-7 p.m. at Rotary Park
The Brockville Winter Classic team says their first Equipment Exchange Night last week was a big success, with many families showing up to donate and pick up hockey gear.
Now, they’re holding one final exchange night to help local kids get ready for the hockey season.
The last event takes place tonight from 5 to 7 p.m. at Rotary Park.
Organizers say they are still in need of certain items, especially 10–11 inch shin pads, smaller sized skates, junior elbow pads, and junior shoulder pads. All donated equipment will go to local youth who may not otherwise be able to afford proper gear.
Another exchange is also being planned closer to the opening of the Rotary outdoor rink later this fall.
The Winter Classic team says the community’s support is making a big difference and encourages everyone to spread the word and join in.
