Following Earth Day on April 22
Over 400 people have already signed up for the Brockville Community Clean-up, but many parks still need support.
The annual clean-up takes place Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and organizers are hoping even more residents will lend a hand.
Volunteers will be picking up litter in parks and greenspaces across the city. Supplies are provided, and people can register online at brockvillecleanup.ca.
A colour-coded map shows which areas need more help. Parks marked with red cans are the ones with the fewest volunteers signed up so far.
Residents are encouraged to choose one of those parks if they’re unsure where to go.
Organizers say the event is a great way to give back to the community while enjoying the outdoors.
“Thank you for caring about your community,” the campaign posted on social media.
