Crews working hard to restore power
Hundreds of people in Brockville and nearby areas are still without power after strong thunderstorms and high winds hit the region on Saturday.
Hydro One says 327 customers in Elizabethtown-Kitley and 195 in Rockport and Ivy Lea are still affected. Crews are working to restore power and expect to have electricity back on by around 4 p.m. today.
The utility is asking customers to be patient as they work as quickly and safely as possible.
Hydro One is also reminding people to stay away from downed power lines or tree branches on lines. Anyone who sees one should call 9-1-1 and report it immediately.
Customers can report outages by texting 92887 (WATTS) or by calling 1-800-434-1235.
