Applications now open
High school students in Leeds & Grenville who have shown strong leadership and a commitment to volunteerism can apply for the Student Leaders of our Community Award (SLCA), presented by United Way Leeds & Grenville.
Established in 2015, this award recognizes students making a difference in their communities. Four awards of $500 each are available, with the possibility of funds being split at the discretion of the bursary panel.
To qualify, applicants must be graduating high school students from UCDSB or CDSBEO, accepted into a post-secondary program, and demonstrate significant volunteer experience and financial need.
Students must submit their applications, including proof of post-secondary acceptance, to their school principal by Thursday, May 1, 2025.
This initiative continues to support and celebrate young leaders, helping them pursue their education while recognizing their contributions to the community. For more details, students can contact their school administration.
