Conservative Candidate in Leeds-Grenville-Thousand-Islands and Rideau Lakes, Michael Barrett says Canada needs a plan to stand on its own.
Speaking with our Bruce Wylie, Barrett says people are opening bills not knowing how they'll make ends meet.
The incumbent MP says that his Conservative Party can make that possible.
He also responded to a question about the costed platform being released after the advance polls closed, by stating what the platform will do for Canadians.
When it comes to questions about the low popularity in the polls for Leader Pierre Poilievre, Barrett responded by saying what he feels Canadians need right now and in the future.
When it comes to the number one issue in the riding, Barrett went back to how people are getting by in today's economy.
He says he's also hearing that people are worried about the trade war with the US, adding that the conservatives have a plan to deal with it.
