Gives thanks for Francis' service
The Archbishop of Kingston weighed in on the loss of Pope Francis.
In a statement, Most Reverend Michael Mulhall said the archdiocese is sad to learn about the passing of the Pope who died early Monday morning.
Mulhall asked that the faithful to join in prayer for the repose of the soul of Pope Francis and in giving thanks to God for his faithful service to the Church.
He commended the Pope for the work he did for the Church.
He ended his message by saying there will be a memorial mass when the time is appropriate.
Pope Francis died moments after making a surprise appearance on Easter Sunday.
He was 88 years old.
