More than $22,000
Donna Countryman is the lucky winner of The River 50/50 draw, taking home more than $22,000 in prize money in front of a large crowd on Saturday afternoon during the 1000 Islands Regatta at Blockhouse Island.
Her winning ticket number, #479982251, was announced following the The United Way of Leeds and Grenville's successful community fundraiser supported by Homelife DLK Real Estate and the 1000 Islands Regatta team.
The United Way says this draw was a huge success, with strong participation from the local community. The River 50/50 is known for bringing people together while raising funds for local causes.
“We’re incredibly thankful to Homelife DLK, the Regatta team, and everyone who bought a ticket,” said organizers. “This was a true community effort.”
The fundraiser continues to grow each year and has become a highlight of the summer event season in Brockville.
