The main construction will start on June 23
Stewart Boulevard is getting a major facelift this summer. The City of Brockville has hired GIP Paving Inc. to handle a major rehabilitation of the stretch between Centennial Road and Laurier Boulevard.
The work includes Cold in Place recycling of the old asphalt and a fresh new surface layer. While some early work is already underway, the main construction will start on June 23.
To ease traffic disruptions, most of the work will happen at night. One lane will stay open, and a pilot vehicle will help guide cars in both directions during construction.
Key project milestones include base recycling in late June, hot mix paving in early July, and final touches to driveways and intersections by mid-July.
Drivers are advised to plan ahead and expect some delays.
