Here is what you need to know
Road work has started on King Street West between Oak Street and Cedar Street as part of a major infrastructure project by the City of Brockville.
K. Mulrooney Trucking was hired by the City’s Engineering Division to replace aging storm sewer and water main systems. The project also includes new sidewalks, curbs and fresh asphalt.
Preliminary work began today (June 27) with full excavation work scheduled to start on July 2. Drivers can expect traffic delays.
During excavation, King Street West will be reduced to one lane. Temporary traffic signals will be used, similar to the 2024 project. Both Oak Street and Cedar Street will be closed at King Street during the work.
The city plans to complete concrete work by mid-September and paving by the end of September.
Residents are encouraged to plan ahead and drive with caution in the area.
