The arrest occurred last Thursday
A 43-year-old man was arrested on April 10, after attempting to flee from police officers on patrol in the area of King St. W. Around 10:15 p.m., officers spotted the man, who was known to have a warrant for his arrest related to two counts of failing to comply with probation. Upon noticing the police, he ran, jumping over fences in an attempt to escape. Officers chased the man and eventually apprehended him at a nearby residence.
The man was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing, facing charges of failing to comply with probation and resisting arrest. No injuries were reported during the incident.
The Brockville Police Service reminds the public that evading arrest only leads to further charges and consequences.
