Massive cross-border boat rally set to float by Brockville this weekend

Boats are expected near Brockville around 2:45 p.m. on Saturday

A cross-border boat rally is expected to pass by Brockville on Saturday as part of a peaceful show of support for Canada. The “Friendship Flotilla” will come from Ogdensburg, N.Y., with boats expected near the city at about 2:45 p.m.

Organizers are calling the event “Elbows Up for Canada” and say similar flotillas are planned along the entire Canada–U.S. border.

Motorboats, jet skis, and kayaks are all welcome to join. Participants are encouraged to bring Canadian or American flags, or signs that show support for Canada and long-term international friendship.

The event is described as peaceful and family-friendly, with organizers urging everyone to rally respectfully and proclaim freely.

Spectators can watch the flotilla from Brockville’s waterfront.

The event is free to attend and open to the public.
