The event will take place on Saturday, May 31, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands is excited to announce the grand opening of the new Leeds 1000 Islands Fire Station 2, located at 3306 County Rd. 32, Seeley’s Bay. The event will take place on Saturday, May 31, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Community members are invited to join the celebration.
This new 7,808 square foot facility replaces the Seeley’s Bay Fire Station, which has served the community since 1951. The modern building is designed to post-disaster standards and features three drive-thru bays to accommodate firefighting equipment. It also provides space for up to 30 firefighters and includes a full classroom-style training room to support firefighter education and development.
The grand opening will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, speeches, guided tours of the building, and cake and light refreshments. The community is encouraged to come out and explore the new fire station and learn more about its important role in keeping the Township safe.
