Centeen Park will remain open while the work is underway
A new set of pedestrian stairs will be built at Centeen Park starting right after the May long weekend, the City of Brockville has announced.
The stairs, constructed by United Counties Construction, will connect the new Water Street parking area near the Centeen Monument to the riverfront trail below. The project is designed to follow the natural slope of the park and improve walking access to the waterfront.
Work is expected to wrap up before the popular Tall Ships Festival, taking place June 20–22, 2025.
Centeen Park will remain open while the work is underway. However, visitors should expect reduced parking and some disruption near the construction area.
The city thanks residents and visitors for their patience during this upgrade to one of Brockville’s most visited parks.
