Local MPP Steve Clark said the intersection is a key route for families and businesses
Ontario is building a new roundabout at the intersection of Highway 15 and County Road 42 in Rideau Lakes Township to improve road safety and support the local economy.
The project is part of the province’s $30 billion plan to upgrade highways, roads and bridges across Ontario. R.W. Tomlinson Limited has been awarded the contract.
The work will include pavement reconstruction, redesigned entrances, better drainage, new lighting and landscaping.
“This roundabout will make roads safer and help drivers get where they need to go,” said Prabmeet Sarkaria, Ontario’s Minister of Transportation.
Local MPP Steve Clark said the intersection is a key route for families and businesses. “Improving it supports future growth and protects our community.”
Ontario says the project will also create well-paying construction jobs, helping the economy respond to global trade pressures like U.S. tariffs.
The province’s roads have ranked among the safest in North America for 25 years.
