Ontario approves major funding boost for new HART Hub mental health centres in Brockville and Smiths Falls

Community members are invited to learn more at a drop-in session October 14 in Brockville

The Ontario government has approved funding for the Lanark Leeds and Grenville HART Hub, confirming two new locations at 280 King Street East, the former home of Fulford Academy in Brockville and 9 Armstrong Drive in Smiths Falls.

The sites were chosen based on zoning, facility layout, and proximity to priority populations who will use the services. The HART Hub will provide a full range of mental health and addictions care, aiming to help residents achieve lasting recovery and, in some cases, find a pathway out of homelessness.

Kim Gifford, CEO of Lanark Leeds and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health, said the new hubs will be safe, well-maintained, and responsive to community feedback.

The Lanark location is expected to open by the end of 2025, with the Leeds Grenville site following in early 2026.

Community members are invited to learn more at drop-in sessions October 14 in Brockville and October 15 in Smiths Falls.
