Police say investigators have now charged a suspect in connection with the killing
Ottawa police say charges have been laid in the homicide of a 43-year-old Spencerville man killed last week in the city’s east end.
The Ottawa Police Service says the incident happened on November 17 in the 2900 block of Penny Drive. Officers were called to the area after reports of a serious assault. The victim was later pronounced dead, prompting a homicide investigation by the Major Crimes Unit.
Police say investigators have now charged a suspect in connection with the killing. No additional details about the accused or the nature of the charges were released in the police advisory shared Wednesday.
The OPS says officers continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information or surveillance footage from the Penny Drive area on November 17 to come forward.
