Residents are being asked to avoid the area
A late-night structure fire drew emergency crews back to a Pearl Street West duplex in Brockville, marking the second fire at the location in recent months.
Brockville Fire Department was called to an active fire at 46/48 Pearl Street West around midnight. The residential building had previously been damaged by a fire in early September.
Firefighters faced difficult conditions as they worked for several hours to bring the blaze under control. Police also attended the scene to help block access and keep the public away while crews worked.
No injuries were reported, officials said, though the investigation is still in its early stages.
The Office of the Fire Marshal has taken over the investigation to determine the cause of the fire. Damage estimates were not immediately available.
Authorities are asking residents to avoid the area while the investigation continues and emergency responders restore safety. Further updates are expected as more information becomes available.
