One person is facing charges after police recovered a amount of stolen property following an investigation in Prescott.
On April 10, 2026, officers with the Ontario Provincial Police Grenville County detachment attended a home on McCrea Road while following up on a reported break and enter. Police say they found an individual in possession of items that had been reported stolen.
Timothy Maguire, 31, of Brockville, was arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and failing to comply with probation.
The following day, officers executed a search warrant at the same property, seizing about $12,000 worth of stolen items. Police say the property has been returned to its owner. The accused remains in custody after a bail hearing. The investigation continues.
