Police say each person assaulted and threatened the other during the argument
Police say a violent domestic dispute led to charges against two people after officers rushed to a Kyle Court home early on Nov. 12.
Around 4 a.m., a 911 call from a woman reporting she was being assaulted suddenly disconnected. Officers learned the call came from a residence on Kyle Court. While on the way, police received a second call reporting the same situation.
Investigators later found that a 56-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman had been involved in a dispute that escalated into physical violence. Police say each person assaulted and threatened the other during the argument. They also allege the man prevented the woman from leaving the home, adding to the seriousness of the incident.
The man was charged with assault, uttering threats and forcible confinement. The woman was charged with assault and uttering threats.
Both were released on conditions and given future court dates. Police continue to highlight the importance of reporting intimate partner violence.
