Making transit more accessible
The Ontario government is giving $399,143 to support public transit in Brockville, South Grenville and North Grenville through the 2024-25 Gas Tax program.
MPP Steve Clark announced the funding, which includes $216,098 for Brockville, $122,974 for Prescott, Augusta, and Edwardsburgh Cardinal, and $60,071 for North Grenville.
The money can be used to improve local transit, expand service hours, add routes, buy new vehicles, and make transit more accessible.
Ontario is investing over $380 million in 106 municipalities this year.
Minister Prabmeet Sarkaria said the province is committed to improving transit systems across Ontario to better connect families to jobs and housing.
