Reckless tesla stunt driving sparks downtown police crackdown

Police say enforcement efforts will continue in the downtown core to improve road safety and reduce high-risk driving behaviour in the community

The driver was identified as a 21-year-old male. Following further investigation, police gathered evidence supporting a stunt driving offence.

The driver’s licence was seized and the vehicle was impounded. The driver has been issued a future court appearance date in provincial court. Police remind the public that dangerous driving puts others at risk and will not be tolerated. Anyone who witnesses dangerous driving is asked to contact police or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers. Police say enforcement efforts will continue in the downtown core to improve road safety and reduce high-risk driving behaviour in the community.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities review additional evidence gathered from the incident. Safety remains a top priority locally.
