Rotary Rink opens today in Brockville for winter skating and hockey fun

The city of Brockville is opening its outdoor rink in Rotary Park today, giving residents a chance to enjoy winter skating. City staff are still finishing preparations on the ice pad, but the rink will officially open Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 9 a.m. and remain open daily until 10 p.m.

Public skating is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon and 4 to 6 p.m. Shinny hockey, a safe form of pick-up hockey with no contact or slap shots, runs from noon to 4 p.m. and 6 to 10 p.m. The ice surface is conditioned and flooded each morning between 7 and 9 a.m.

Schedules are posted at the rink and on the City of Brockville website. Parks staff encourage everyone to follow safety rules and enjoy the season. The rink is open seven days a week, offering a fun winter activity for the whole community.
