Officers say they have received reports of damage to about 10 vehicles and 18 tires
Brockville police are investigating a string of overnight tire slashings in the King Street East area. The incidents happened between 11 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday, police said in a news release.
Officers say they have received reports of damage to about 10 vehicles and 18 tires. The damaged vehicles were found along King Street East, and investigators believe more reports may still come in.
“We take these types of crimes seriously, as they cause financial hardship for residents and unnecessary fear in the community,” police said Tuesday afternoon.
Police are now canvassing the neighbourhood, reviewing security footage, and speaking to witnesses.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious, was a victim, or has doorbell or surveillance footage of the incidents is asked to call the Brockville Police Service at 613-342-0127, extension 0. Tips can also be shared anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
