Many departments play a role: CEO and President Caffin
CEO and President of the Brockville General Hospital Julie Caffin tells myFM in the morning's Bruce Wylie, work is underway to try to reduce wait times.
Caffin wants to clarify the issue doesn't just affect the Emergency Department. She says the hospital overall is "jam-packed".
She says staff across the hospital are trying to improve the situation.
Caffin told us that they work as hard as they can to get the right patient into the right bed.
She says that means that staff need to adjust how they're working to make room for people ho need to be admitted to the hospital. It's not an issue unique to Brockville either, as many hospitals across the province are in the same boat.
