Occurred at Matt's Auto Service
Brockville Police are investigating a break-in and vehicle theft at Matt’s Auto Service on William Street in the early hours of Monday (August 11).
Around 2:00 a.m., officers responded to an alarm and saw a light blue Audi fleeing the scene. The car was later found abandoned in a creek after crashing through a field. The suspects fled on foot before police arrived.
The Audi, registered in Etobicoke, may be linked to other criminal cases in nearby areas.
Two more vehicles were stolen from the dealership. Police say the suspects broke into the building, took the keys, and drove off. One of the stolen cars was recovered after hitting a road sign near Stewart Boulevard. One vehicle remains missing—a 2012 grey Buick Regal.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Knezevic at 613-342-0127 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
