United Way Leeds & Grenville is reminding local organizations that there’s less than a week left to apply for its new Emergency Response Grant.
The grant is designed to help frontline agencies respond quickly during local crises, such as fires, floods, or other emergencies. It was created after the devastating Windsor Drive fire in Brockville, which left many residents displaced and in need of urgent assistance.
Agencies that stepped up to help during that event—or that provide similar crisis response services—are encouraged to apply for this critical funding.
The Emergency Response Grant aims to strengthen the region’s ability to respond when disaster strikes, ensuring help reaches those who need it most.
Applications close on Wednesday, October 15 at 3:00 p.m.
Organizations can learn more and apply online at uwlg.org/emergency-response-grant.
