Erin's Law was first introduced in Ontario in December
The Upper Canada District School Board will provide child sexual abuse prevention education to staff and students.
System Principal of Safe Schools Josh Harrison said both in-person and virtual learning students will recieve the training.
This is the board's response to Erin's Law, which received royal assent in December that mandated such training in schools.
The sessions will be conducted in an age appropriate manner for the entire student body.
It'll be done through the health and physical education curriculum, but Harrison said the responsibility does not rest entirely on PE teachers.
Parents will also be able to receive the training through the board's online portal.
