Drivers encouraged not to park on city streets
Drivers are being warned to use caution for a second straight night as the City of Brockville continues roadway line painting.
The work depends on dry weather and began last night with little advance notice. Crews will be out again tonight, and residents are being asked not to park on the street.
The city says it won’t be responsible for paint damage caused to cars that cross fresh lines.
Drivers who encounter a line painting crew are asked to slow down, stay back, and only pass when directed.
If a car does get splashed with paint, the city suggests visiting a car wash immediately. If paint remains, try WD-40, let it dry for two hours, then wash again.
As a last resort, residents may need to contact their insurance company.
City officials thank drivers for their patience and cooperation.
