Longtime broadcaster, educator to lead MBC's Brockville stations

My Broadcasting Corporation, parent company of 104.9 myFM, Classic Rock 103.7 GIANT FM, and BrockvilleDaily.ca is proud to announce Dan Mellon will be taking on the role of General Manager/General Sales Manager in Brockville.

The long-time broadcaster, educator, consultant and former host in Brockville will fill the role beginning later this month. 

Dan spoke to us about how taking on the role is really bringing him home. 

Although he's moved around eastern Ontario over the years, his roots in Brockville run deep. Dan spent the first 18 years of his life in the City where his parents and grandparents were raised. 

 
Mellon says coming back to Brockville is a breath of fresh air, adding the people here really care about their radio stations and it shows. 

Mellon says he's been keeping a close eye on both of our stations and the website, and notes a huge change since MBC launched the new sounds and looks.

Though he's a dedicated broadcaster, Mellon says the City and region fit his lifestyle perfectly. 

In addition to Brockville, Dan has been a vital part of stations in Belleville, Kingston, and Kemptville. He has also spent the past 14 years at Algonquin College as a Professor, then the General Manager of the Radio Broadcasting Program. 

Dan Mellon's first day as General Manager/General Sales Manager will officially be on May 26th.
