Railway Tunnel opens and more
The City of Brockville has announced its holiday schedule for Victoria Day, Monday, May 19, 2025. City Hall, the Gord Watts Centre, and other municipal offices will be closed.
There will be no waste and recycling collection on Monday. Instead, residents should put out items one day later than usual during the week of May 19–23.
City transit will not run Monday, with service resuming Tuesday. The Compost Site is open Saturday, May 17, but closed Sunday and Monday.
The Tourism Office at 16 Market St. East will stay open all weekend, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
The Railway Tunnel reopens today (Friday, May 16) with an opening ceremony at 2 p.m. followed by daily hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Other seasonal openings include the Splash Pad, Municipal Harbour, and St. Lawrence Park Campground.
