A 25-year-old Quebec woman faces charges after an early morning disturbance at a Brockville gas station turned violent.
Police were called to the Proxy gas station on Stewart Boulevard around 5 a.m. on October 16 following reports of a fight involving two women and a man, all from Quebec.
Investigators say the two women wanted to leave the man behind in Brockville and drive away with his belongings. Officers determined one of the women, who was driving, had been drinking. A roadside test showed an “alert,” leading to a three-day licence suspension.
The second woman, also 25, became increasingly aggressive during questioning, allegedly growling, punching, and ramming her head into a police vehicle. Police arrested her to prevent injury. During the arrest, she allegedly kicked and spit on an officer.
She was charged with two counts of assaulting a peace officer and public intoxication.
