Police arrested the woman on Wednesday, December 17
Ontario Provincial Police say a 43-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder following the death of a Lansdowne resident.
On Tuesday, December 17, shortly before 12:30 p.m., Leeds County OPP officers responded to a welfare check at a residence on County Road 2. Officers found 78-year-old Katherine Graham of Leeds and the Thousand Islands Township deceased inside the home. A postmortem confirmed her death was a homicide.
Police arrested the woman on Wednesday, December 17. She remains in custody, with a bail hearing scheduled for Thursday, December 18.
The investigation is being led by the Leeds County OPP Crime Unit, with support from the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, Forensic Identification Services, the Office of the Chief Coroner, and the Forensic Pathology Service.
