About a quarter of the city's population needs a helping hand
Executive Director of the YMCA Eastern Ontario, Rob Adams says their annual fundraising campaign is underway and gaining momentum.
Adams says each year the Y raises funds to help families and individuals access healthy Y programs delivered in safe, inclusive spaces that go beyond fitness to promote positive connections.
Adams says about a quarter of the population needs a helping hand, and they're targeting the needs of local kids first.
They'll be part of McHappy Day on May 8th, where local McDonald's restaurants in Kingston and Gananoque will be raising money to help send those local kids to camp.
