A 20-year-old from Nepean
The OPP is reminding the public to stay safe on the water following a spike in marine incidents across Ontario.
The most recent saw a 20 year-old Nepean man drown after falling overboard from a stationary vessel in the St. Lawrence near Gananoque.
That was Sgt. Ed Sanchuk with the West Region OPP.
He says a lifejackets is a must.
There is also some planning you need to ahead of time, and on the day of on the water, use common sense.
Sanchuk also says the Safe Boating Guide is available through Transport Canada and should be reviewed ahead of every outing.
