Clark argues the focus should be on the work completed, not the number of sitting days
Ontario politicians are returning to the legislature tomorrow after a 21-week summer break, with local MPP Steve Clark promising to make the most of the remaining weeks before Christmas.
Clark says the government has a busy agenda when the legislature resumes.
He says the government wants to build what it calls the most competitive, reliable and resilient economy in the G7, attracting jobs and investment while reducing reliance on the U.S. market.
Clark says his current priorities include more funding for health care and education, as well as connecting patients with family health teams.
Critics have questioned how little time the legislature sat during its previous session.
Clark argues the focus should be on the work completed, not the number of sitting days.
He says he plans to use every available second before the House breaks for Christmas on Dec. 10 to protect Ontario businesses, jobs and workers.
