A provincewide protest against the Ontario government will take place Saturday, May 30, with a Brockville rally planned for 11 a.m. at the south end of the Brockville Railway Tunnel.
The event is being organized locally by NDP candidate Chris Wilson and his party. Organizers say the public protest is aimed at standing up for community rights and supporting people who need help across Ontario.
Wilson explained why organizers worked to bring a Brockville portion of the protest to the region.
He talked about some of the issues organizers plan to highlight during the rally.
Wilson said the event is not about political parties, but about fighting for what is right.
Wilson also spoke about what he hopes will come from the protest.
