Ontario Provincial Police say a 39-year-old Caledon man is facing multiple charges after a late-night crash and altercation on Highway 15.
Officers with the Ontario Provincial Police responded shortly after 11 p.m. on April 15 to a rear-end collision near Freeland Road in Leeds County.
Police say one of the vehicles fled the scene before officers arrived. The remaining driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries following a physical dispute with the other driver and was taken to a regional trauma centre.
With help from the public, officers located the heavily damaged vehicle about an hour later a short distance away. The driver was arrested.
The accused faces charges including assault causing bodily harm, dangerous operation, failure to stop after an accident and driving under suspension.
He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on May 29.
