Smile cookies are back and this sweet campaign could help save time in patient care

This year, money raised will go toward purchasing double-sided alert signs for the hospital’s Palliative Care and Rehabilitation floors

A popular fundraiser is returning with a goal of improving patient care at Brockville General Hospital.

Starting Monday, April 27, Tim Hortons locations in Brockville will donate proceeds from every Smile Cookie sold to the local hospital. The annual campaign raises funds for community initiatives through cookie sales featuring the chain’s signature smiling design.

This year, money raised will go toward purchasing double-sided alert signs for the hospital’s Palliative Care and Rehabilitation floors. Staff say the new signs will help improve communication and allow for faster response times when patients need assistance.

Hospital officials note that quicker alerts can make a meaningful difference in care, particularly for patients with complex or urgent needs.

Residents are encouraged to take part by purchasing cookies during the campaign. Organizers say even small contributions can have a direct impact on local healthcare services.

The Smile Cookie campaign runs while supplies last.
