Shaver said he understands the frustration some residents may feel while waiting for roads to be fully cleared
As local residents look ahead to warmer days, officials in Augusta Township say winter operations can stretch well into April.
Crews have been working around the clock to keep roads cleared, safe and accessible. Snowfall and changing temperatures have created challenging conditions in recent weeks.
Mayor Jeff Shaver thanked Public Works staff for their efforts throughout the winter season.
He also asked residents for patience while teams continue their work, especially on gravel roads that can be damaged during clearing.
Shaver said he understands the frustration some residents may feel while waiting for roads to be fully cleared.
He added the township appreciates the community’s understanding as crews balance safety with protecting road surfaces during the late-winter stretch.
