The Braves announced Tuesday that Leonard will no longer serve as head coach. The club thanked him for his work and wished him well.
The team said it remains focused on building a championship-calibre organization on and off the ice.
In a release, ownership said the Braves are nearing a series of significant announcements as part of a restructuring of hockey operations. The club said the incoming group will bring experience, energy and a commitment to player development, accountability and a positive culture.
Ownership said the changes are aimed at strengthening the future of the franchise and delivering a first-class experience for players, fans, sponsors and the community.
