The Brockville Police Service says it looks forward to welcoming participants again next year
Community members braved icy water and winter temperatures to support a good cause during the annual Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Ontario on Saturday, March 7.
The event, organized by the Brockville Police Service, brought together participants, donors and supporters from across the community. Organizers say the strong turnout helped raise $4,100 for Special Olympics athletes.
Participants took the plunge into cold water as part of the popular fundraiser, which is held each year to support programs for athletes with intellectual disabilities.
Police thanked everyone who took part, donated or helped organize the event. They said the enthusiasm and generosity shown by the community make a real difference for athletes who benefit from Special Olympics programs.
