Brockville council has approved several major measures during its Tuesday meeting, including the creation of a reserve fund for police services.
The fund will be supported by revenue from third-party criminal record checks, with surpluses split between future capital building needs and spending at the discretion of the police board.

In-person kiosks will again be available for residents who need assistance.
Changes were also made to the Community Grants Program. Future funding will support non-profit festivals and public events, with a maximum of $7,500 per applicant.
About $60,000 will be available annually.
Council also received a strategic priorities update, noting progress on tourism, housing, downtown improvements and green space expansion.
